PUBLISHED BENCHMARK
Starting point for displayed rates
The site requests a published 24K Pakistan national reference rate, expressed in PKR per tola, from a configured public gold-rate API. The frontend accepts data matching the expected response fields, including an available status, currency, unit, source label, market date and freshness information. It does not access APGJSA directly or present a separate independently verified city price.
The current API source label is “Manual verification.” The site does not identify a specific originating publisher on every page, and this label should not be read as a claim that the website independently verified the underlying market quote.
DERIVED REFERENCES
Purity and weight calculations
For a selected karat value K, the indicative per-tola rate is calculated as: 24K benchmark × K ÷ 24. Thus the purity adjustment is a proportion of the 24K reference; it is a calculation, not a separately sourced market quote.
Calculations use the internal conversion 1 tola = 11.6638038 grams. For readability, public explanations round this to approximately 11.664 grams per tola. Per-gram value is the unchanged published per-tola benchmark divided by the internal conversion; a 10-gram value is the per-gram value multiplied by 10. Displayed currency amounts may be rounded.
These calculations do not determine a finished item's purchase or resale value. Making charges, workmanship, taxes, stones, local market terms and other costs are not included unless a specific calculator input explicitly accounts for them.
DATES AND FRESHNESS
Market publication is different from website refresh
When supplied by the API, the source market date is shown with the displayed reference. Freshness is represented as fresh, delayed or unknown; if a valid benchmark or its date is unavailable, the page shows an unavailable status or market-date-unavailable label instead of inventing a price or date.
The website revalidates its API response on a five-minute (300-second) interval. This is a website cache/revalidation setting only. It does not mean the market publishes a new rate every five minutes, and it does not guarantee the age of the underlying publication.
CITY PAGES AND HISTORY
National references, not local quotations
City pages derive their displayed values from the same national 24K benchmark. They are not based on independently verified prices from shops in those cities. The current rate feed does not provide a verified historical dataset; the site does not claim to maintain or show historical market records.
The site aims to display the source label and available publication date or freshness information supplied by the API. Details about the API operator, underlying publisher and any source permissions require confirmation by the website owner.
